Mr. Adish Jain

Dear Fellow Devotees,

I am very thankful and honored to be elected as the President of the Hindu Center.  The main function of our Hindu Center is to provide an enlightening religious and spiritual experience for our community and everyone visiting our temple. In addition, the Hindu Center upholds a long-standing commitment to provide educational activities to teach religion and culture to our young children, youth as well as adults. Our tradition of community outreach activities is highly notable, as well. We are, indeed, fortunate and blessed to have and cherish such a unique institution of faith as the focal center of our community.

We are very blessed to have Mr. Subramanyam Kannan as our priest since 2001. Our priest is responsible for all religious activities in the temple and in the community and around Richmond area. He is experienced in performing poojas and other ceremonies such as marriages in both South Indian and North Indian traditions.

As the incoming President, I would first like to thank the previous Executive Committee for its laudatory accomplishments and for “raising the bar” on service to the Hindu Center.  I am very pleased to let you know that we have an incoming Executive Committee, comprised of a group of highly dedicated and committed individuals that will be operating and maintaining the Temple going forward. We will strive to learn from and build upon past experiences as we hope to turn our community’s collective vision into reality, for the present as well as the future of Hindu Center. We honor and cherish the trust you have placed in us and look forward, with confidence, to deliver results.

Having said that, I sincerely appeal for help and support from everyone in the community to make this happen.  We can not run the Hindu Center without everyone’s help and support.  We request more participation and support, physically, mentally and financially. The committee is open to new ideas to attract people from local community and outside our community to visit and become a part of our Hindu Center. It is “our” temple and if we don’t take care of it who else will? This is especially more important at this time when we are in the phase of building a new Temple.

May God give us strength and wisdom, so we all can continue to work together and stay united as one community.

God Bless us all.

Adish Jain

President
